COMFORT

Cork, as a natural product, warms and enriches any interior. With over 40 million natural cushion cells per cubic centimeter, cork is a natural sound and thermal insulator. Cork floors are beautifully quiet and comfortable underfoot, warm and pleasant to the touch.

SAFETY

Cork floors do not absorb dust and are resistant to bacteria and fungus. They do not cause allergies nor pose a risk to asthma sufferers. Adhesives and finishing products used in the manufacturing of cork floors are formaldehyde-free and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions are not detectable.

DURABILITY AND EASY MAINTENANCE

Advanced coating technology gives cork floorings a highly resistant and long-lasting protection even in high traffic environments.

Due to the special factory finish, cork floors are not only durable but they require only minimal maintenance.

NATURALLY SUSTAINABLE ALTERNATIVE

Cork can be harvested from the same tree for about two hundred years and every harvested cork tree fixates between 3 to 5 times more carbon. The harvesting is made with minimal impact on the environment and no trees are cut down to bring you this product.

Our latest job, supply and install Wicanders Cork comfort – Originals Dawn to a large hallway and 4 bedrooms. This was installed on a concrete floor with underfloor heating system, we installed the floating cork on an underfloor heating underlay, we also removed and reinstalled all the skirting to give a beautiful natural look.

Supply and fitting of 6.4mm Siesta Cork with hard wax finish, installed in 2 bedrooms, 2 landings, toilet and bathroom.

These were installed on 9mm plywood screwed down to a very rough floor and micro coat filler to fill hollows and ply edges. Once tiles were installed we rolled with a 70kg roller to ensure maximum adhesion. To finish off we put an extra coat of hard wax.

Paul and Emma quite simply transformed our home. Ripped up and disposed of our old carpets, replaced skirting boards, fitted the sound insulation underlay we requested and then the much-discussed cork tiles. It looks and feels amazing, we keep marvelling at how beautifully they completed the work, how quickly and so neat. Paul gave me lots of advice beforehand, he and Emma know their stuff about all things flooring and we are thrilled with the result. Also very tidy and efficient, and just very pleasant people to deal with. Would definitely use this company again!

Paul did a fantastic job for us in our hallway & living room. We had carpet lifted, removed & disposed. The concrete floor was levelled and then LVT flooring fitted throughout. The workmanship is top quality with a lovely finish. Paul and Emma were professional, friendly, polite, courteous, tidy & punctual. Despite having to level the floor, which wasn't expected/planned, they worked incredibly hard to complete the work in the original timescale. Therefore avoiding any disruption to our or their schedules! I would highly recommend their services and we will most definitely have them back for future work!

Paul and Emma came to lay wood flooring throughout our hallway, dining room and living room. The whole experience was excellent! They work with a high level of care and attention to detail, but also quickly and efficiently. They know exactly what they're talking about and are super friendly to boot. I used Barnard Flooring in November to lay a new cork floor throughout the downstairs lounge and kitchen. They are a small, organised company who are professional and friendly. The finish was of a high standard and they were clean and tidy. Would recommend.
